Job Description

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing cutting-edge products and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle
  • Research and develop innovative solutions to solve complex problems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technological solutions
  • Apply engineering principles and practices to design and develop mechanical systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • 0-2 or more years of relevant experience
  • Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
  • Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
  • Understanding of Engineering Simulation such as Finite Element structural Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Thermal Analysis
  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
  • Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles
