We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Blood Collection Specialist to join our team at the American Red Cross. As a key member of our donation center team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient collection of blood donations.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with our team to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors
- Utilize your healthcare and customer service skills to assist with every step of the blood collection process
- Follow all safety procedures while collecting lifesaving blood donations
- May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setup and teardown of equipment at donation sites
- Paid phlebotomy training with the opportunity to grow your healthcare skills and career
- A competitive starting rate of $21.15/hour
- A sign-on bonus of $3,000
- A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance
- A generous paid time off policy
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills
- A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push, or pull heavy weights and adapt to long, irregular hours
- Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience
