Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Advocate Sherman Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients, including administering respiratory care procedures and modalities in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized respiratory care plans
  • Administer respiratory care procedures and modalities, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and aerosol therapy
  • Monitor patient vital signs and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license issued by the state in which you practice
  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program with a minimum of an associate degree
