The position of Senior Electron Optics Engineer is crucial for the innovative design of electron optical systems aimed at enhancing next-generation e-beam metrology and inspection technologies. This role involves significant contributions to the development of groundbreaking technologies and key modules aligned with the company's strategic roadmap for electron beam applications.
Key Responsibilities- Develop pioneering electron optical design concepts for advanced e-beam metrology and inspection systems.
- Engage in the design and prototyping of electron sources and columns, focusing on mechanical and vacuum design to meet stringent performance criteria. Produce comprehensive simulation and design documentation.
- Innovate solutions to address design challenges that hinder the electron optical performance of systems.
- Contribute to system specifications, error budgets, and interface definitions.
- Assemble and evaluate electron optics sub-modules, integrating them into comprehensive systems.
- Conduct fundamental performance assessments on test benches and generate detailed test reports.
- Note: Responsibilities may evolve over time.
Ph.D. with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- 5+ years of experience in electron optics.
- Background in Physics, Applied Physics, or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in vacuum system design, material processing, and mechanical design.
- 1 to 2 years of proficiency with mechanical design software (e.g., Solidworks, NX).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to influence and manage stakeholders effectively.
- Project management skills are advantageous.
Expertise in vacuum simulation, design, prototyping, and testing.
Mechanical design proficiency specific to electron optics.
Additional InformationThis role may require up to 10% travel to collaborate with colleagues at different locations.
Access to controlled technology is necessary for this position, as defined by the Export Administration Regulations. Candidates must be legally authorized to access such technology prior to commencing employment.
