Licensed Vocational Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at Compassionate Care Home Health Agency in Ridgecrest and surrounding areas.
Job Summary:The Licensed Vocational Nurse will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, following the plan of care and implementing current nursing practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities:- Provides direct patient care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
- Implements a plan of care initiated by the registered nurse.
- Provides accurate and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care.
- Assesses and provides patient and family/caregiver education regarding self-care techniques and information pertinent to diagnosis and plan of care.
- Participates in coordination of home health services, appropriately reporting the identified needs for other disciplines (HHA, OT, PT, MSW, ST, Dietician) to the registered nurse and/or Clinical Supervisor.
- Uses and/or prepares equipment and supplies effectively and efficiently adhering to aseptic technique.
- Participates in personal and professional growth and development.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the registered nurse.
- Graduate of an accredited practical nurse or vocational nursing program.
- One year of nursing experience; three years preferred. Community health/hospice or medical/surgical experience is preferred.
- Sensitivity to patient needs with the ability to express patience and compassion in dealing with them.
- Currently licensed as an LPN/LVN in California.
- Complies with accepted professional standards and practice.
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills.
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
