Data Strategist

Barrow Wise Consulting, LLC is a dynamic company that seeks to hire a Data Strategist who will play a crucial role in shaping the company's data architecture and driving innovative solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in database system architecture and design, with a focus on data warehousing, data modeling, and data analysis.

• The successful Data Strategist will be responsible for supporting Barrow Wise's CPS project, which involves enabling the management and sharing of infectious disease data between Chicago Public Schools and the Health Department.
• Key responsibilities include improvement of data quality, efficiency of public health response to disease outbreaks, defining and implementing long-term technology strategy, creating standards, and overseeing the expansion of existing data architecture.

Requirements

• A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, data science, engineering, or related field, required 8 years of technology delivery experience with at least 7 years focus on database system architecture and design.
• Hands-on experience in performance tuning techniques, API and web service implementation (REST, API, SOAP API), Cloud data warehouse technologies (Azure Data Warehouse, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake), business intelligence tools and technologies such as ETL, Power BI, and Tableau.
