Paralegal Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team at Lois Law Firm, LLC. As a Paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting our New York workers' compensation defense practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough research to support legal proceedings and provide accurate information to our attorneys.
  • Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes and provide expert analysis to our attorneys.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining accurate records and storing client information securely.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Paralegal or in a related legal field is required.
  • An associate's degree is required, with a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from an ABA-approved organization or a bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with legal research and the ability to utilize critical thinking skills to push claims forward to closure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Candidate must be able to secure a notary license, with Lois LLC reimbursing for associated costs.
