Job Summary:L3Harris is seeking an exceptional Signal Processing or Communications Analysis Engineer to join our Salt Lake City team. This role is integral to providing advanced technical expertise in the realm of communications systems and Electronic Warfare (EW) for Department of Defense (DoD) programs and collaborative research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, analyze, and implement algorithms for communications systems and Electronic Warfare (EW) applications.
- Develop and maintain system architecture, FPGA, VHDL, and programming languages such as C++, C#, or C.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and integrate software-defined radios and digital signal processing systems.
- Conduct laboratory debugging and testing using digital scopes, logic analyzers, BERTS, and other sophisticated measurement devices.
- Develop and maintain documentation for algorithms, system architecture, and software development.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field with 4+ years of experience, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with 2+ years of experience, or possession of a PhD.
- Proficiency in MATLAB or equivalent analytical tools.
- Experience with system architecture, FPGA, VHDL, or programming languages such as C++, C#, or C.
- Background in Electronic Warfare.
- Proficiency with Simulink.
- Proven track record in algorithm development, simulation, and documentation.
- Strong skills in requirements analysis and management.
- In-depth knowledge of communication systems analysis.
- Experience with high-rate, satellite, and spread spectrum communication systems.
- Familiarity with Software Defined Radios and Digital Signal Processing.
- Experience in VHDL (preferred) or Verilog development languages.
- Laboratory debugging skills using digital scopes, logic analyzers, BERTS, and other sophisticated measurement devices.
- Familiarity with code revision management tools such as Git.
- Knowledge of programming languages C, C++, and C#.
L3Harris offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $167,000, depending on experience and location. We also provide a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.
