Caregiver - Mental Health Support Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team as a Residential Support Specialist. As a key member of our care team, you will provide direct support to individuals living in a residential setting.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with mental health conditions and be able to provide personalized support and guidance. You will help residents develop daily living skills, transportation, skill-building, money management, medication administration, risk mitigation, and other areas based on their individualized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to residents, including assistance with daily living tasks and activities
- Develop and maintain relationships with residents, understanding their strengths, interests, and preferences
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive comprehensive care
- Assist with household tasks, such as cooking and cleaning, to maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Transport residents to appointments or outings, promoting independence and socialization
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- At least one year of experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorder
- Valid driver's license required; MAP certification within five months of hire; CPR/First Aid training provided
