Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery Team at BluePearl Pet Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional care to our patients and contribute to a dynamic and rewarding work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
  • Utilize your ability to place peripheral intravenous catheters in cephalic veins.
  • Perform physical exams, accurately counting heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate, and effort.
  • Understand normal vital parameters and alert the doctor when abnormal.
  • Set up intravenous fluids, administer subcutaneous fluids, and operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps.
  • Disconnect and reconnect patients from intravenous fluids aseptically and monitor patient response to fluid therapy, including signs of overload.
