Role Summary

The Nutritional Support Specialist plays a vital role in preparing the dining environment and meal trays, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and accommodating dietary needs of residents.

This position involves assisting culinary staff in meal preparation and service, adhering to scheduled dining times, and following established protocols to guarantee exceptional service quality for residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist culinary supervisors with food preparation and service, adhering to specific procedures and regulations.
  • Deliver meal carts to residents, set up and clean designated dining areas.
  • Monitor and record refrigerator temperatures; maintain cleanliness and stock supplies as necessary.
  • Wash and organize dishware, ensuring overall sanitation and upkeep of the kitchen environment.
  • Stay informed about Federal, State, and Community regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in food service.
  • Proficient in English, with strong reading, writing, and speaking skills.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Commitment to working with geriatric residents and understanding their unique needs.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
  • ServSafe certification is a plus.
