Ultrasound Technologist Full Time Nights

DMC Receiving Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Michigan, is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of a licensed physician, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams using advanced imaging equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Verifying patient identity and reviewing medical records for exam appropriateness
  • Interviewing patients to obtain medical history and assess risk factors
  • Explaining procedures to patients, including potential risks and benefits
  • Setting up equipment and acquiring images as per script
  • Reviewing images, documenting exceptions, and communicating data to radiologists
  • Providing post-care instructions to patients and participating in quality improvement activities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) training
  • Registration in a specialty within 12 months of employment
