Key Responsibilities- Preventative Maintenance: Assist with scheduled preventative maintenance assignments to maintain the resort's finishes and keep the product up to quality standards.
- Electrical and Plumbing Systems: Assist in checking and making minor repairs to electrical systems, including air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems, and plumbing systems, including pipes, toilets, and sinks.
- Furniture and Fixture Refurbishment: Refurbish furniture and fixtures within the property, including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters, and paint and finish as needed.
- Flooring Installation and Repair: Install and repair flooring, including ceramic tile and vinyl.
- Shift Work and Room PM: Work various shifts as needed and perform room PMs as required.
- Radio Communication: Respond timely to radio calls and report status.
- Inventory and Product Management: Inventory, track, and safely store products.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all applicable house rules, safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and local authorities.
- Guest Service: Assist guests, respond to guest issues, and pitch in to help co-workers with their job duties.
- Leadership and Teamwork: Lead in the daily operation, maintenance, service, and repair of all related resort finishes and assist in obtaining competitive pricing of materials and equipment.
- Progress Reporting: Provide detailed progress reports on all action items generated from the Director of Engineering.
- Specialized Skills: Possess specialized skills in product knowledge, patching, texturing, and handling and application of heavyweight wall-covering, Acrylics, Lacquers, Oils, Sealers, Water Proofing, and hand applications and spraying.
- Experience: 3-4 years as a lead level finisher in a hospitality environment.
- Basic Maintenance Abilities: Possess basic maintenance abilities.
- Customer Service: Provide good customer service.
- Self-Motivation and Time Management: Be able to self-motivate and manage time and activity.
