Inova is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Radiology Extern 2 to join our team. As a Radiology Extern 2, you will assist radiologic technologists in performing a variety of examinations, adhering to department policies and protocols, and demonstrating effective use of radiation protection procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist radiologic technologists in performing examinations using standard department protocols, isolation precautions, and/or sterile technique.
  • Adhere to department policies and protocols by ensuring all examinations are optimized for interpretation.
  • Demonstrate the ability and skills to assist with adhering to radiography principles.
  • Demonstrate the effective use of radiation protection procedures with collimation devices and protective shielding.

Requirements:

  • High School or GED
  • Full-time student in good standing in an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Must be 2nd year in an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
  • Basic Life Support Certification
