Job Summary

ASRC Federal Agile Decision Sciences is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration, and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seeking highly motivated Principal Cyber Systems Engineers to support the development and sustainment of the U.S. Missile Defense Agency Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) anti-ballistic missile system project in Huntsville, AL.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Software Factory team on GNI to ensure that various cloud infrastructure platforms are developed and operational for the customer (MDA).
  • Develop and implement secure cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy software applications.
  • Ensure compliance with government security regulations and standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers.
Requirements
  • US Citizenship, current DoD Secret clearance or higher.
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 10 years of related experience or a Master's degree and 7 years of related experience.
  • DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security + CE).
  • Strong systems administrator experience, specifically in Windows/Linux Operating Systems environments.
  • Recent experience working with cloud technologies and platforms.
  • Recent experience and skills in agile software principles.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Helm Charts and Ansible Technologies.
  • Experience with configuration management tools, i.e., Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, others.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, Kubernetes, Docker, and/or other cloud orchestration technologies.
  • Familiarity with branching strategies, gated commits, and source-controlled management.
  • Programming and scripting experience in a UNIX environment (C++, Perl, Python, Bash, Ruby, Shell, Scripts).
  • Programming and scripting experience in a Windows environment (PowerShell, etc.).
