Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to join EmergeOrtho, a leading healthcare provider in North Carolina. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Salary:

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, to attract and retain top talent in the field.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Radiologic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing professional patient care under physician supervision, including critique and performance of quality diagnostic imaging in an orthopedic setting.
  • Completing all examinations, documentation, and accurately identifying all charges associated with studies.
  • Obtaining and documenting patient medical history, including the reason for the visit and any other pertinent information related to treatment prior to physician exam.
  • Positioning radiographic equipment at the correct angle and height over the appropriate area of a patient's body.
  • Adjusting controls on the x-ray machine to produce radiographs of the appropriate density, detail, and contrast of the body part.
  • Performing all diagnostic x-rays as indicated by physician and APP, and preparing medical record information, including x-ray films for physician review before physician exam.
  • Maintaining compliance with infection control policies and procedures, and performing patient education when appropriate.
  • Replenishing supplies, cleaning exam rooms after each patient, and stocking exam rooms at the end of each day.
  • Communicating supply shortages and other clinical needs to Clinical Manager or designee.
  • Ensuring that laboratory and other diagnostic test results are obtained and communicated to physicians to ensure appropriate and timely physician intervention.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school degree or equivalent, with a Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic technologist training program.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration.
  • Licensure and/or certification as required by the State of North Carolina.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform procedures, including body mechanics and patient movement.
  • Knowledge of safety hazards and contraindications for patients and all visitors within the facility.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, and excellent documentation skills.
