Nephrologist Position at Boston University

Position Overview:
The Section of Nephrology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center is seeking a full-time Academic Nephrologist to join our faculty.
The successful applicant will be an outstanding clinician with interests in teaching, scholarship, and care of the underserved.
Our nephrology practice is highly academic and rooted in service to the community and those in greatest need of specialty nephrology care.
Experience in quality improvement, community outreach, or clinical research is highly desirable.
We anticipate recruiting clinicians at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level, with opportunities for promotion on the clinical or unmodified track at Boston University.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Teach and mentor students, residents, and fellows
- Contribute to research and scholarship in nephrology
- Participate in quality improvement and community outreach initiatives
Requirements:
- MD or DO
- Board Certification/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Qualified candidates must be licensed or able to obtain a license in the State of Massachusetts
- Active DEA
- Current BLS
- Spanish language proficiency is highly preferred, but not required
