Macke Motors Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Body Shop Technician. This is a full-time, commission-only position in the vibrant auto industry. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge in auto body repair and will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicle damage to restore them to their pre-accident condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose vehicle damage, including body, frame, and paint work
- Repair and replace damaged vehicle parts, such as fenders, doors, panels, and windows
- Utilize appropriate tools and techniques to straighten and align damaged vehicle frames
- Perform body filler, sanding, and priming tasks to prepare vehicles for painting
- Mix and match paint to accurately match the original vehicle color
- Paint vehicles using proper techniques and application methods
- Inspect and test all repairs for completeness and quality
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of repairs
- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and techniques
- Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment as necessary
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience in auto body repair or painting
- Ability to read and interpret repair estimates and instructions
- Must possess own tools and have knowledge of proper tool usage
- Excellent understanding of body and paint techniques
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
