**Salary and Benefits**
We offer competitive hourly rates ranging from $55 to $65 per hour. Full-time employees are entitled to comprehensive health insurance, earned sick/safe time, and net day pay.
**Job Responsibilities**
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Assisted Living/Memory Care facility, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and health of our senior residents. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive health assessments, medication management, and monitoring overall health status of residents.
- Leading a team of caregivers (CNAs and PCAs)
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans for residents, addressing their unique healthcare needs.
- Providing health education to residents and their families on various topics such as disease management, preventative care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Coordinating and communicating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive and holistic care for residents.
- Responding to medical emergencies promptly and efficiently, following established protocols and providing immediate care as needed.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and communications related to resident care.
- Working closely with the Director of Nursing, nursing staff, and other team members to maintain a cohesive and supportive care environment.
- Fostering open and transparent communication with residents, their families, and staff to promote a positive and collaborative care environment.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A RN degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- A current and valid RN license in the state of Minnesota.
- Previous experience in geriatric nursing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with senior residents.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Willingness and flexibility to cover on-call needs over the phone.
