Job Summary

The Air Methods Mechanical Aircraft Completions Tech 2 role is a critical position that requires a high level of expertise in aircraft sheet metal repair and modification. As a self-sufficient entity of the department, you will be responsible for completing structural modifications to helicopters, installing medical support systems, and performing airframe structural repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete structural modifications to helicopters
  • Install medical support systems into helicopters
  • Install avionics systems and STC kits into helicopters
  • Accomplish airframe structural repairs
  • Fabricate detail sheet metal parts from blueprints
  • Develop custom installations for medical and avionics equipment
  • Maintain shop equipment and areas
  • Perform Air Methods AAIP Inspections & MFG Inspection Program Tasks
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Three to five years related aircraft sheet metal repair and modification experience and/or training
  • Previous experience using precision measuring equipment
  • Previous experience in use of sheet metal related shop equipment
  • Proficient in using manufacturers maintenance manuals
Preferred Qualifications
  • FAA Airframe Mechanic certification
Compensation

The hourly range for the Mechanical Aircraft Completions Tech 1 or 2 role is $27.99/hr - $38/hr.
