Service Foreman Job Description

Dowbuilt is seeking a skilled Service Foreman to support our Service Superintendents. This role involves executing various projects within high-end residences, adhering to the highest standards of quality in the industry. As a Service Foreman, you will be part of a team of professional, skilled craftspeople who excel in communication, time management, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute assigned work to the highest standard of workmanship and quality, collaborating with superintendents.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure client homes run smoothly.
  • Proactively identify areas in need of repair, inspect, and diagnose problems as needed.
  • Supervise and assist subcontractors to ensure safe operations, productivity, and quality of work.
  • Manage subcontractor performance and behavior onsite.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, clean, and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are maintained and stored properly.
  • Plan and manage weekly schedules, maintain a current calendar, and identify personal schedule gaps in advance.
  • Procure materials and supplies for service projects, submitting material purchases with appropriate job numbers.
  • Prepare daily field reports with hours, providing a recap of the service work performed.
  • Establish and cultivate professional and personal contacts in the building industry.
  • Clean and maintain company service vehicles.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of residential construction experience (high-end preferred).
  • Willingness to obtain OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certifications, focusing on safety and security of self, employees, and clients.
  • Possesses working knowledge of all phases of carpentry, building codes, permit requirements, home mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, fine finish care, and maintenance practices.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record, as driving a company vehicle is required for this position.
  • Professional and succinct communication skills.
  • Ability to listen actively, follow instructions, take notes, ask for help, and suggest solutions.
  • Drive to learn, develop skills, and share knowledge with others.
  • Ability to collaborate and problem-solve with others.
  • Composure when stressed or facing difficult objectives.
  • Confidentiality of client and company proprietary information.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • U.S. work authorization.
