Job Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the day-to-day execution of work in the assigned business unit, from preconstruction to project closeout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement execution plans to maximize overall business objectives and ensure maximum profitability.
  • Manage Project Managers, General Superintendents, and Superintendents to ensure effective project execution.
  • Allocate, coordinate, and ensure quality assurance of drafting resources within Business Units.
  • Implement productivity improvements, ensure project compliance, and maintain quality assurance.
  • Champion safety, discipline safety violators, and provide coaching to prevent problems.
  • Initiate and hold Project Review meetings with Project Managers, General Superintendents, and Superintendents.
  • Approve all additional pricing quoted to customers, including change orders, back charges, claims, and anything that changes the contract.
  • Resolve cost-related issues between Installing and Engineering.
  • Identify and monitor upcoming Project Managers.
  • Track and report on risk management.
  • Assure customer satisfaction through the project manager/superintendent team.
Requirements
  • At least 8 years of verifiable experience in heavy ($20M+) plumbing and HVAC commercial construction.
  • State plumbing license or 5+ verifiable years as an Operations Manager.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills with responsibility of managing numerous superintendents and general superintendents with projects that are ongoing simultaneously.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 6 months of safety training in other states.
Work Environment

This role requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Climbing stairs and remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods are also required. The work environment is quiet, and light work includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is USD $130,000.00 to USD $150,000.00 per year.
