Job Summary

The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association seeks a skilled Communications Project Manager to collaborate with staff on the development and management of activities to inform and engage two audiences: external communications focused on ASHA members and stakeholders, and internal communications directed towards staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and foster collaborative partnerships with National Office departments to develop and execute information and outreach campaigns directed towards members.
  • Work closely with staff and leadership to develop integrated communications strategies for diverse populations.
  • Support strategic communications planning and project management support for rollouts of individual campaigns and ASHA-wide initiatives.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure branding and messaging consistency to internal and external audiences.
  • Assist with message and content development and advise on the selection of appropriate communications platforms and channels.
Requirements
  • B.A./B.S. degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
  • Minimum of seven years of communications-related experience in non-profit/association, consulting, or agency environments.
  • Demonstrated project management experience and clear understanding of how to deliver on cross-team collaborative projects.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and managing integrated communications campaigns.
  • Demonstrated experience using multiple and diverse communications channels and media, including social media to engage audiences and achieve desired outcomes.
