Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Coordinator IV to join our team at Emory University. Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, orient, and supervise research administration staff or independently manage complex research administration activities.
  • Manage a large or multiple smaller clinical research projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to study protocols.
  • Manage clinical trials-related information systems, including data management and reporting.
  • Supervise the implementation of and adherence to study protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor expenditures and adherence to study budgets, resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Educate research staff on established policies, processes, and procedures, ensuring a high level of understanding and compliance.
  • Determine effective strategies for promoting and recruiting research participants, as well as retaining participants in long-term clinical trials.
  • Periodically audit operations, including laboratory procedures, to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and provide leadership in identifying and implementing corrective actions.
  • Plan, identify, and handle study-related equipment and facilities needs, ensuring timely delivery and installation.
  • Provide leadership and expertise in identifying and completing research grants, study materials, brochures, and correspondence.
  • Develop and submit grant proposals, ensuring a high level of quality and competitiveness.
  • Lead or chair committees or task forces to address and resolve significant issues, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED and nine years of clinical research experience.
  • Or two years of college in a scientific, health-related, or business administration program and seven years of clinical research experience.
  • Or licensed as a Practical Nurse (LPN) and six years of clinical research experience.
  • Or bachelor's degree in a scientific, health-related, or business administration program and five years of clinical research experience.
  • Or master's degree, MD, or PhD in a scientific, health-related, or business administration program and two years of clinical research experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Research Administrator (CRA) or Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) certification.
