Job Summary

As a Project Engineer, Associate at M.C. Dean, Inc., you will provide technical and administrative assistance to project leads to ensure the success of our projects. This role requires a strong understanding of project controls, including submittals, procurement plans, RFIs, and project schedules. You will develop solutions to moderate scope and complexity problems, assist in estimating through material take-offs and quote requests, and participate in KPR (Key Project Review).

Key Responsibilities

Project Controls – submittals, RFIs, and change order preparation
Track project quantities
Preparing specifications for purchase of materials and equipment
Preparing invoices
Submitting O&M manuals
Assisting in development of full estimate
Participate in KPR (Key Project Review)
Managing coordination & detailing logs & schedule
Managing schedule updates
Managing productivity reports
Identifying value-added solutions & cost savings methods

Requirements

0-2 years of experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management (preferably from an ABET accredited program)
Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time
Sitting for extended periods of time
Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction
Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard
Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
Identify and understand the speech of another person
