Project Engineer Role at Ultra Maritime

Ultra Maritime is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and driving project teams through the project bid and development lifecycle. This includes ensuring technical progress and process execution of assigned projects within schedule and budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Program Manager with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quantitative management of all project activities and staff.
  • Contribute to and participate in customer reviews.
  • Direct resources, organizational interfaces, and project task scope.
  • Develop and report project metrics.
  • Provide concurrence on recommended changes to requirements and design configuration.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Physics.
  • 7+ years of applicable experience in Project Engineering/Project Management.
  • Experience with iterative design and development methodologies.
  • Ability to adjust scope and schedule to conform to user feedback and new requirements.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Desired Skills:
  • DoD Secret or higher security clearance.
  • Project Management Professional certified.
  • Agile project management experience.
  • Design for manufacturing experience.
  • Strong understanding of Systems Engineering.
