The Physical Therapist (PT) plays a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete process of therapeutic care for an assigned group of patients in coordination with the physician and the patient care team.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients with impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes, and synthesize the data to establish a plan of care with therapeutic interventions and goals appropriate to patients' age and development.
- Document evaluations (admission and discharge), modifications in treatment plan of care, and responses to occupational therapy interventions.
- Determine the efficacy of therapeutic interventions, technologies, and outcomes and the utilization of PTAs, students, and support personnel.
- Work collaboratively with other therapists, nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals to deliver a team approach to each patient.
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; Master's degree is preferred.
- Physical Therapy License issued by the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners is required.
- 1 year of experience in a Physical Therapy setting, preferably in Acute, Inpatient Rehab, Pediatrics, or Outpatient setting.
- Current BLS certification is required.
