Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Epic Analyst to join our Research IT team at Johns Hopkins Medicine. As a Junior Epic Analyst, you will work in a variety of Epic applications, including the OnCore Clinical Trials Management system, and collaborate with end users and research leadership to design and implement system solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the development and design of Epic applications and modules
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of assigned Epic modules and applications
  • Collaborate with end users and research leadership to gather data and devise system solutions
  • Design and implement system solutions to user issues and problems
  • Develop and maintain system documentation and record keeping
  • Communicate effectively with users, colleagues, and developers
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Clinical studies
  • Professional certification(s) in assigned Epic application module(s) within 120 days of employment
  • One to two years of operational experience in a clinical or healthcare business operations setting or in Information Technology
  • General understanding of clinical or healthcare business operations workflows
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with implementing clinical and/or healthcare business information systems in a large-scale and complex healthcare organization
  • Epic certification in the module(s) being represented
  • Experience in Epic installations
  • Knowledge of the current healthcare environment
