We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Custodian to join our team at the State of Connecticut. Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the work of custodial staff, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and implement procedures for cleaning and maintaining facilities, including scheduling and assigning work orders.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure that facilities meet our high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
- Respond to emergencies and unexpected situations, such as spills or equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that our facilities meet the needs of our employees and visitors.
- One year of experience in custodial work, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Ability to lift moderate to heavy weights and work in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
