Job Title: TCEQ Senior Programmer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical advice on application maintenance, support, and development.
  • Review and evaluate coding best practices, techniques, and training needs.
  • Lead coding tasks for application maintenance, support, and development based on requirements and design documentation.
  • Coordinate testing and Quality Assurance/Quality Control tasks for application maintenance, support, and development.
  • Guide and assist customers with customer acceptance testing.
Qualifications:
  • Five (5) years of full-time experience in computer programming, computer system administration, and/or systems analysis.
  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university, or technical college with a major in computer science, plus two (2) years of full-time experience in computer programming, computer system administration, and/or systems analysis.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 12 semester hours in computer science, plus three (3) years of full-time experience in computer programming, computer system administration, and/or systems analysis.
  • Completion of 30 semester hours (600 clock hours) in computer science from a licensed vocational, technical or business school or accredited college, plus three (3) years of full-time experience in computer programming, computer system administration, and/or systems analysis.
  • Completion of 15 semester hours (300 clock hours) in computer science from a licensed vocational, technical or business school or accredited college, plus four (4) years of full-time experience in computer programming, computer system administration, and/or systems analysis.
