The Spray Foam Technical Services Specialist plays a pivotal role in providing expert guidance on spray foam applications and related equipment to IDI clients and personnel. This includes training existing and prospective customers on application techniques, overseeing new equipment setup, performing repairs and warranty services, troubleshooting issues, ensuring safety compliance, and offering valuable insights to foster customer growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote industry standards for health and safety Advise clients on effective chemical processing Demonstrate efficiency on job sites Conduct training and commissioning for new equipment Set maintenance and warranty expectations for equipment owners Maintain a foundational understanding of building codes and construction science Assist in troubleshooting equipment problems both on-site and remotely Educate clients on correct application methods for spray polyurethane foam Deliver presentations in group settings Ensure timely completion of projects and tasks Collaborate with the IDI Sales Team to inform prospects and customers about IDI's offerings, including spray foam products, parts, and accessories Document and relay customer interactions to the IDI Sales Team Visit job sites to provide on-site training Support IDI sales representatives with troubleshooting and warranty claim processes Offer training and assistance to new employees Generate service quotes for clients, covering parts and labor Carry out repairs within IDI's service parameters Transport necessary tools and parts for designated tasks Provide ordering information to clients and the IDI Sales Team when recommending equipment Communicate repair efforts to regional IDI Service Centers when additional support is required Assist clients in assessing potential warranty concerns Provide follow-up reports Submit weekly expense reports by the designated deadline Maintain an updated calendar to keep Sales Representatives and Managers informed of scheduling Perform other duties as necessary for IDI's successLeadership Qualities:

Mechanical aptitude is essential Relevant experience may include: Basic engine repair Experience with spray foam application equipment Fundamental electrical knowledge General understanding of code-compliant building practices, focusing on building envelope, spray foam, and fiberglass insulation Construction experience is advantageous Proficiency in troubleshooting spray foam application and equipment issues Strong verbal communication skills Effective planning, time management, and organizational abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time Ability to meet established goals within deadlines Detail-oriented with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively Comfortable and skilled in public speaking for training sessionsEducation and Experience:
