We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team at William Buck. As a key member of our risk management team, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies
  • Collaborate with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and other stakeholders to enhance risk management systems and processes
  • Manage quality management monitoring requirements and ensure compliance with ASQM1 and APES 320
  • Provide guidance on the application of the Independence Policy and manage the annual compliance declaration process
  • Support non-assurance service area teams in the development, maintenance, and publishing of guidance, tools, and templates
  • Develop and deliver training to elevate and embed a risk-intelligent mindset
  • Manage risk registers and compliance matters
  • Review and author policies for new professional requirements
About You

We are looking for a strong risk radar and critical thinking skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You should be a lateral thinker with a natural curiosity and desire to learn and ask questions. You will also need exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to see the big picture and understand commercial aspects of discussion points.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of professional services or other relevant experience
  • Strong working knowledge of risk management fundamentals and organizational controls and processes
  • Knowledge of the application of standards issued by the Accounting Professional and Ethical Standards Board (APESB) will be highly regarded
  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency
