Special Education Teacher

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a qualified educator to work with students with special needs in a PreK setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and be able to develop and implement effective instructional strategies.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement IEPs for students with special needs.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the varying learning capabilities of students.
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and technologies to engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and other specialists to support student learning and development.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid New Hampshire Special Education Teaching License or eligibility for certification.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and disabilities.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and positive behavior support strategies.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
