CNC Machining Specialist

Horton, Inc., a global leader in airflow solutions known for reliability, service, and innovation, is seeking a CNC Machining Specialist to join our team. This position is for the 2nd shift, with standard hours from Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, and may require overtime as necessary. The starting pay is $26.68 per hour, with an additional shift premium of $1.25 per hour. We also offer a SIGN-ON BONUS and RELOCATION ASSISTANCE. CNC Machining Specialist Responsibilities:

The CNC Machining Specialist is responsible for setting up and operating machine tools within the designated work cell. This includes loading materials into machines and operating tools to produce finished components that meet specified dimensions. The role also involves inspecting work and making basic adjustments to maintain product tolerances.

Responsibilities of the CNC Machining Specialist:

• Adjusts settings or programs and tooling inserts to achieve the required dimensions of finished components, providing assistance to less experienced machinists with complex setups.
• Operates multiple machine tools to efficiently produce high-quality parts.
• Conducts routine maintenance on machines to optimize productivity and conserve resources.
• Moves between machines in the cell as directed, setting up and operating tools as needed.

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred but not mandatory. Experience with Mills and/or Lathe operations as a CNC Machinist or a 2-year technical degree is required.

Essential Skills for CNC Machining Specialist:

Ability to read blueprints, communicate effectively, work collaboratively, possess basic computer skills, and demonstrate intermediate inspection and measurement capabilities. Basic machine setup and operation skills, along with fundamental math skills, are also necessary.
