CNC Machinist Job Summary

Horton, Inc., a leading provider of on and off-highway engine cooling solutions, is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in our Britton, SD location. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating machine tools to produce high-quality parts, inspecting work, and performing basic setting/adjusting of the machine to maintain products within specified tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate machine tools within the work cell to produce finished parts that conform to proper dimensions.
  • Load materials into machines and operate machine tools to produce high-quality parts in an efficient manner.
  • Perform daily and weekly routine machine maintenance to conserve resources and keep machines productive.
  • Move between machines in the cell as directed by the area manager.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is desired but not required.
  • Requires experience with Mills and/or Lathe work experience as a CNC Machinist or a 2-year technical degree.
  • Blueprint reading, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Basic computer skills and intermediate inspection and measurement skills are required.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
