Job Title: Student Life Director

Zaytuna College, a premier institution for Islamic liberal arts education, seeks a highly motivated and experienced Student Life Director to join its team. As a key member of the college community, the Student Life Director will play a vital role in shaping the student experience and fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and compassion.

Job Summary:

The Student Life Director will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Tarbiyyah curriculum that cultivates the virtues and ethics essential for personal and professional growth. This includes designing and leading co-curricular and extra-curricular programs that promote student engagement, leadership development, and community building. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Islamic Studies and a proven track record of mentoring students and young adults.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a Tarbiyyah curriculum that aligns with the college's mission and values
  • Design and lead co-curricular and extra-curricular programs that promote student engagement and leadership development
  • Supervise and mentor student staff and resident assistants
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement policies and procedures related to student conduct and well-being
  • Provide guidance and support to students on academic and personal matters
  • Serve as a member of the Student Affairs Committee and participate in college-wide initiatives and events
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree in Islamic Studies or a related field preferred
  • At least five years of experience in student affairs, with a minimum of three years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of mentoring students and young adults, particularly in Islamic Studies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
