Operations Specialist

At RimePro Inc, we're seeking a skilled Operations Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing on-site support to our Operations & Maintenance Team and assisting with daily facility operations and maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities- Facility Operations & Maintenance:
- Operate and maintain leachate collection and groundwater recovery systems, including extraction pumps, stormwater conveyance systems, and treatment facilities.
- Conduct routine inspection and maintenance of landfill caps, stormwater control measures, and groundwater monitoring systems.
- Assist in managing the shipment of hazardous waste materials for off-site disposal.
- Perform sampling and monitoring activities for stormwater ponds, groundwater wells, and stormwater discharge systems.
- Operate and maintain groundwater extraction systems, including pumps, filtration systems, and storage tanks.
- Conduct grading, erosion control, and road maintenance tasks as necessary.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, including appropriate use of PPE for Level B, C, and D environments based on air monitoring results.
- Manage spill control and containment activities in the event of leaks or hazardous spills, including hazard identification, PPE selection, and containment response.
- Conduct regular site inspections, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in facility operations, groundwater systems, or stormwater control.
- Strong mechanical skills with expertise in operating pumps, sediment filters, treatment systems, and tanks.
- Ability to wear appropriate PPE and adapt to varying work environments, including Level B, C, and D protection protocols.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management software.
- Experience with environmental compliance, hazardous waste management, and facility maintenance is highly preferred.
- 40-hr HAZWOPER certification and Cal-OSHA training will be required.
