Grinder Lead Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grinder Lead Technician to oversee our grinding operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision grinding and excellent leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and lead a team of grinding technicians to ensure efficient and high-quality grinding operations.
    • Assign tasks and monitor team performance to optimize productivity and quality.
    • Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Grinding Operations:
    • Set up, operate, and maintain various grinding machines, including surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, and other precision grinding equipment.
    • Perform precision hand grinding of parts to specified dimensions and shapes.
    • Ensure all grinding operations meet established quality standards and specifications.
  • Quality Control:
    • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to verify accuracy and quality.
    • Maintain detailed records of production runs, inspections, and quality checks.
    • Identify and address any issues or defects in the grinding process.
Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience as a grinder technician, with a strong background in precision grinding operations.
    • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Extensive knowledge of grinding processes and equipment, including surface grinders and cylindrical grinders.
