About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our team at City of Hope, a leading cancer research and treatment center. As a Medical Physicist, you will play a critical role in the design, optimization, and delivery of radiation treatment plans for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Optimization: Develop and implement radiation treatment plans, ensuring accurate and precise delivery of radiation doses to patients.
  • Technical Evaluation: Evaluate and calibrate radiation treatment equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain and implement quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with radiation oncologists, medical dosimetrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior physicists and medical dosimetrists, promoting professional growth and development.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-doctoral degree in Physics from an accredited college or university or Masters.
  • Experience: Minimum three to five years of experience in radiation physics, with a strong background in radiation oncology.
  • Certifications: Current certification in medical physics by the American Board of Radiology or Board of Medical Physics, and maintenance of certification and continuing education requirements outlined by the American College of Radiology.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
