Job Title:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Mechanical and MEP group at our RTP office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing engineering design evaluations and leading project engineering design, specific to Mechanical and HVAC Engineering.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering design evaluations and lead project engineering design, specific to Mechanical and HVAC Engineering
  • Have thorough knowledge of the applicable Building, Mechanical, HVAC, and Plumbing Codes
  • Design mechanical systems, energy modeling analysis, energy code compliance calculations
  • Prepare engineering analysis of projects, to include: preliminary design, budget analysis, calculations, life cycle costs, and equipment selection
  • Prepare drawings and layouts; proficient in Revit and/or AutoCAD
  • Prepare technical construction specifications
  • Coordinate with other disciplines with both in house and outside consultants
  • Perform field observations as part of the construction quality assurance process

Requirements:

  • 4-year Mechanical Engineering Degree from an accredited institution
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License Preferred
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills in Revit, AutoCAD
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
