Role Summary

  • We are in search of a Senior Software Engineer with substantial hands-on experience in Angular, Java, and MySQL. Familiarity with Spring Boot and STS is also advantageous, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates aspiring to take on leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Developer team, consisting of seven members, will adhere to Lean Agile practices. Engage in all relevant scrums, sprints, and grooming sessions.
  • Conduct integration and development tasks for Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products.
  • Ensure timely completion of assignments. Collaborate effectively for issue resolution, task scheduling, resource needs, and clarification of tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with a diverse team of staff and contractors.
  • Gain a solid understanding of cloud environments, including AWS and Azure.
  • Coordinate with security, operations, engineering, testing, and other teams to provide technical support and system information. The Developer team will create, manage, and update JIRA tickets.
  • Design, develop, and enhance software systems.
  • Document and monitor vendor software roadmaps for updates on software and patches. The Developer team will perform unit testing and conduct code reviews.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience in developing detailed designs and associated deliverables.
  • Ability to translate customer and system requirements into effective designs.
  • Proven experience in designing system interfaces.
  • Experience in developing Single Page Applications using HTML5, CSS3, and Angular 2+.
  • Hands-on experience in creating RESTful web services using Java 8+ or other technologies such as Spring Framework 4+ or Spring Security 4+.
  • Experience with non-relational database systems like DynamoDB.
  • Practical experience troubleshooting Internet and Web-related protocols and technologies such as Tomcat, Node.js, Web Services, or SSL.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing JUnit and Jasmine tests.
  • Familiarity with testing platforms such as Jest or Karma.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, or Nexus.

Preferred Skills

  • Recent experience with the Sponsor's Lean Agile methodology.
  • Experience using ErDoS for reporting sprint MVI burn-up and top-line charts, as well as MVI features and user stories.
  • Familiarity with CFS, FSS, TagIt, KnoMAD, and TagIt digest.
