About the Role

Frost Bank is seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our database management systems to ensure optimal performance and data security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement schema changes to existing databases
  • Optimize database deployments for improved performance
  • Provide database design, direction, and support to business users
  • Troubleshoot common data access problems
  • Configure and set up disaster recovery environments
  • Configure and set up test environments
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent IT experience
  • 5+ years of experience in RDBMS administration with medium to large databases in an enterprise environment
  • Expert ability in operating systems that databases reside on
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
  • Expert in designing and developing data aggregation and reporting
  • Expert in schema normalization, index tuning, and performance enhancement
  • Expert in automating repeatable tasks via automation scripting
