About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team at El Pollo Loco. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to our crew members, ensuring that they are equipped to deliver exceptional customer service and meet our high standards of quality.
- Train and develop our crew members, providing coaching and feedback to help them improve their skills and performance.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cash handling.
- Ensure that our restaurant is clean, safe, and well-maintained, and that our equipment and facilities are in good working order.
- Monitor and control labor costs, ensuring that we are operating within budget.
- Contribute to the achievement of sales and profit goals, by implementing strategies to drive sales and improve customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Experience: 1 or more years of restaurant supervisory experience, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Competencies: Basic math and computer skills, and strong customer service skills.
- Food Handler Card: Must have a Serve Safe Certificate at time of hire or obtain a Serve Safe Certificate, where applicable.
