Job Summary

As a Certified Flight Instructor at TransMedics, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality flight training to students in a classroom setting and during training flights. Your primary objective will be to assess student proficiency and report on their progress, ensuring they meet the required standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial consultations with potential students to schedule flights and provide information about TransMedics' flight training courses.
  • Lead facility tours and introduce customers to TransMedics' policies, procedures, and flight training programs.
  • Perform authorized flight instructor duties in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and approved Training Course Outlines.
  • Maintain instructor qualifications and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately maintain student training records, logbooks, and computer records.
  • Regularly schedule students to ensure satisfactory progress through the course.
  • Verify that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by all assigned students, as stipulated in the applicable Training Course Outline.
  • Initiate stage check requests for assigned students.
  • Ensure timely completion of all flight students assigned, including completion of required paperwork.
  • Monitor the maintenance condition of training aircraft and inform Inflight Pilot Training maintenance personnel of any questionable items.
  • Recommend curriculum and courseware improvements when necessary and develop new curriculum or courseware as assigned.
  • File incident reports as needed to report any observed safety violations or situations that may affect flight safety.
  • Attend administrative, standardization, in-service training, and instructor development meetings as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • FAA Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI) certification.
  • Current FAA Medical Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MEI or CFII certification (not required).
