Job Description

Accommodations Plus International is seeking a highly skilled Planning Assistant to join our team in Melville, New York. As a key member of our planning team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our crew accommodation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the planning team in developing and maintaining airline planning files in our ACES system.
  • Plan and develop hotel and ground transportation schedules for all network clients.
  • Comply with airline requirements as negotiated in hotel contracts.
  • Optimize hotel utilization to produce cost-efficiencies.
  • Ensure airline business rules are adhered to during hotel assignments.
  • Release hotel and ground transportation schedules to suppliers using our API supplier website.
  • Confirm all hotel suppliers have received their schedules.
  • Update the ACES system with hotel contract information.
  • Perform audits of the ACES system to ensure accuracy of data.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in operations or airline crew scheduling.
  • Hotel or airline background is an asset.
  • Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
  • Ability to effectively manage workload in a fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding relationship management and customer service orientation skills.
  • A profound understanding of how political, social, and cultural differences between countries, people, and cultures affect a successful partnership.
  • Flexible to work after hours based on business demand.
  • Multilingual skills a plus, preferably Portuguese or Spanish.
