Up to $750 Sign-On Bonus

POSITION TITLE: PERSONAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST II, INDEPENDENT & SUPPORTED LIVING SERVICES

We are seeking a dedicated Personal Support Specialist to assist individuals with disabilities in their journey towards greater independence. If you have a passion for working with adults facing intellectual and developmental challenges, we would like to hear from you.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver personalized coaching in essential daily living skills.
  • Provide guidance and support in utilizing community resources effectively.
  • Keep precise and up-to-date records in ID notes and communication logs pertinent to Individual Service Plans.
  • Assist individuals in adhering to their daily activity schedules, including meal preparation, maintaining a clean and organized living environment, and managing household tasks.
  • Oversee medication administration.
  • Support participants in all aspects of personal care, including attending medical and dental appointments.
  • Encourage participation in social activities to enhance social skills.
  • Educate program participants on accessing public transportation and assist them in obtaining benefits such as Social Security, SSI, IHSS, and Section 8 housing.
  • Facilitate both weight-bearing and non-weight-bearing transfers for individuals served.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of a clear live scan background check and physical examination.
  • Possession of reliable transportation (valid CA driver's license and vehicle insurance).
