Job Title: Commissioning Automation Specialist

At Interlake Mecalux, we are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Automation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our automation team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing software solutions for our Mecalux Systems of Warehouses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software solutions using proprietary tools such as Designer AWS and Galileo.
  • Create control programs using internal tools and configure Profibus or Profinet networks.
  • Conduct installation startups by checking Profibus/Profinet networks and validating wire connections, device addresses, and signal quality.
  • Load control programs to VFD control drives, operator panels, barcode scanners, and PCs.
  • Check safety devices and conduct physical inspections using easySoft-Safety software.
  • Delegate daily tasks to electromechanics and ensure they are completed properly and on time.
  • Assist Project Managers in determining human resources demand and work schedules for electromechanics and electricians.
  • Commission on-site control programs and debug and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and clients to ensure project satisfaction.
  • Conduct training courses for customers on Galileo software and HMI interfaces.
  • Provide work progress reports to department managers and Project Managers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (electrical, industrial, or mechanical).
  • 2 years of experience in commissioning Industrial Automation.
  • Knowledge of PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming preferred.
  • C programming language knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Knowledge of Frequency Inverters parameterization and operation (preferable SEW and Lenze) preferred.
  • Knowledge of Fieldbus networks (Profibus, Profinet, etc.) preferred.
  • Spanish fluency is ideal.
  • Able and willing to travel up to 60%.
