Job Description Overview:

As a Data Automation Engineer at Sterling Engineering, you will be responsible for designing and implementing control and electrical systems for machines and high-speed production lines. Your expertise in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial sensors will be essential in ensuring seamless data transfer and accurate data collection.

You will work closely with plant electrical teams to implement PLC program and hardware changes, validate data collected from PLCs and servers, and design interfaces with instrumentation, sensors, and machine/process control systems for data capture and deployment.

With a strong background in electrical and control engineering, you will contribute to the timely delivery of high-quality technical solutions, working autonomously and collaboratively to meet critical deadlines.

Requirements:

Degree or equivalent higher-level qualification in electrical and control engineering or a closely related discipline. Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in designing and commissioning control and electrical systems for machines and high-speed production lines.

Proficiency in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial sensors. Experience in designing and deploying SCADA, MES, or production line awareness systems is desirable.

Familiarity with electrical schematics, PLC logic, and HMI designs. Ability to analyze data and transform raw data into actionable business insights is a plus.

Salary:
$90,000-$100,000
