Job SummaryThe Pharmacy Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the long-term care pharmacy, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and providing supervision to professional and support staff.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day activities of pharmacy dispensing and input departments
- Responsible for strategic planning, design, operation, and improvement of pharmacy input and dispensing
- Monitor and audit controlled substances and dispensing activities
- Monitor pharmacy expenses and maintain budget requirements
- Ensure safe and efficient workflow and high customer service
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and processes for safe and effective patient care
- Compile reports and develop KPIs for compliance and quality metrics
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
- 5-10 years of progressive management experience in a long-term care pharmacy
- Active Tennessee Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist license
- Continuing education as required by Tennessee Department of Health
The Pharmacy Manager will work in a standard office environment with occasional travel required.
