Job Summary

The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the long-term care pharmacy, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and providing supervision to professional and support staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of pharmacy dispensing and input departments
  • Responsible for strategic planning, design, operation, and improvement of pharmacy input and dispensing
  • Monitor and audit controlled substances and dispensing activities
  • Monitor pharmacy expenses and maintain budget requirements
  • Ensure safe and efficient workflow and high customer service
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and processes for safe and effective patient care
  • Compile reports and develop KPIs for compliance and quality metrics
Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
  • 5-10 years of progressive management experience in a long-term care pharmacy
  • Active Tennessee Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist license
  • Continuing education as required by Tennessee Department of Health
Working Conditions

The Pharmacy Manager will work in a standard office environment with occasional travel required.
