Job Summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join their team in a school district setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1+ years of occupational therapy experience and a passion for working with students in an educational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans

Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and educational goals, ensuring students receive the best possible support to achieve their full potential.

  • Provide Direct Therapy Services

Deliver high-quality direct therapy services to students, including therapeutic activities, exercises, and interventions to improve functional abilities and promote independence.

  • Collaborate with Educational Teams

Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate therapeutic strategies into students' educational programs, ensuring a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

  • Consult and Guide Educational Staff

Offer consultation and guidance to school personnel on creating supportive environments and adapting activities to meet students' needs, promoting a culture of inclusivity and accessibility.

  • Monitor and Document Progress

Regularly monitor and document students' progress towards achieving therapy goals, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

  • Participate in IEP Meetings

Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing expertise to the development of educational plans and ensuring students receive the support they need to succeed.

  • Educate and Support Parents/Caregivers

Educate and support parents/caregivers on strategies to promote carryover of therapeutic gains at home, empowering them to support their child's continued growth and development.
